Lance Kennedy was raised in the Knoxville area. He attended South Young High School in Knoxville Tennessee and graduated from South Doyle High School. He went on to major in instrumental music at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was a four year member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band.
After graduation, Lance became Director of Bands at Meigs County Middle and High Schools for the next nine years. While at Meigs, he studied for and received a Masters Degree and Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Technological University. In 2006 he joined Stone Memorial High School as Director of Bands. In 2007, he was named as Assistant Principal, a position which he currently holds. In 2010, Lance added the position of Athletic Director to Assistant Principal duties. Lance resides in the Crossville area with his wife, Krystal, son Lane and, daughter Kali.
He enjoys working with such a dedicated staff and students. Stone Memorial is a great place to work with talented students and faculty members.
