|We would like to congratulate Ned Serleth for being awarded 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year by his peers. Mr. Serleth teaches Theater and English at SMHS. Born in Iowa, he served in the Army and graduated from Northern Arizona University. He began his teaching career in Arizona and Wisconsin, before settling down on his wife's family farm in Cumberland County where he has taught most of his career. Mr. Serleth's wife, Susan, teaches at Brown Elementary and their daughters currently live in Nashville. And as for Teacher of the Year, he would like to say "I'm only as good as the people I work with." Congratulations Mr. Serleth.|
